ASCEND EVENTS
BRANDING DESIGN
At Ascend, there are three main events that happen every year: Ascend Pinnacle Board Leadership Summit, Ascend A-List Awards and Ascend Convention. Aside from the three events, there are also smaller events held throughout the year. With the rebranding of the overall Ascend brand, I worked closely with the Head of Marketing to continue the rebranding of the entire events department.

The Ascend Pinnacle Board Leadership Summit Board is an exclusive event held in New York City where current and aspiring board directors of companies are able to network with their peers, and discuss trending topics and key priorities for the modern board.
We created a themed lockup using the brand fonts: Playfair and Nunito. Taking the colors from the brand guidelines, we used a blue to tangerine gradient for the signages to create differentiation from the chapters’ event.
The Ascend A-List Awards is an annual gala that recognizes highly accomplished and impactful Pan-Asian business leaders representing a wide spectrum of industries.
Prior to the rebrand, the Ascend A-List Awards’ logo was monotonous and felt outdated.
We took Ascend’s new logo to create a simplified version of the previous logo with a red-tangerine gradient.

The Ascend Convention is the largest annual gathering of API professionals. Attendees are able to participate in different speaker events and activities.
We explored several design iterations of the overall convention treatment using the red-tangerine gradients.
For the Ascend Convention 2024, we landed on a beautiful, elevated treatment across the signages to coincide with the year’s theme “We Lead Together”.

The convention was held at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, Nevada where over 2,000 people attended the event. Working with different vendors, we created a total of 40+ assets from digital to print signages, coloring pages and pins.
